RemStone Therapy® in Ipswich, QLD

Your appointment begins with a discussion about your individual needs, comfort and areas you would like your therapist to focus on.

Before an area is treated, heated stones are placed over a towel and wrapped in an envelope-style wrap. This allows the warmth from the stones to gradually transfer through the towel and warm the area in preparation for treatment.

The heated stones are then used as massage tools with a series of techniques specifically designed for RemStone Therapy®.

Your treatment is personalised throughout your appointment, with the techniques and areas of focus adapted to your individual needs and comfort.

RemStone Therapy® is different from a traditional hot stone massage where stones may primarily be associated with heat and relaxation.

Using the S.M.A.R.T™ Method, stones become active treatment tools in the therapist's hands and are incorporated alongside hands-on massage techniques.

At Serenalees, heated stones may also be wrapped over a towel before an area is treated, allowing warmth to gradually transfer to the area in preparation for the stone massage techniques that follow.

Although both treatments use stones, RemStone Therapy® and Remedial Hot Stone Therapy are different approaches.

RemStone Therapy® uses the S.M.A.R.T™ Method, Stone-Massage-Adaptive-Release-Techniques, combining hands-on massage with specialised stone techniques. At Serenalees, heated stones are used as active treatment tools throughout the massage.

Remedial Hot Stone Therapy incorporates both heated and cold stones as part of a targeted treatment approach.
